Foundation Work

01 — What size should my concrete be?

We recommend the pad to be the same dimensions as the base rail. For example, if your building is 30x50, the pad should be 30x50 exactly. At Stingray Steel Buildings, we overlap the siding 1 1/2 inches down the concrete so water does not come in. We also recommend for the pad to be between 4-6 inches thick. You are more than welcome to do your pad a bit wider on the sides if you have other plans in the near future!

02 — What foundation is needed?

Soil, rocks, pavement, cement. Also, where you want your structure constructed must be leveled and squared.

03 — Do I need a permit?

In most parts of the US, you’ll need a permit from your local county/city or state government to build the structure. We always tell our customers to contact their county to learn about the permitting process!

04 — Does Price Include Concrete?

Unfortunately, our prices do not include any sort of groundwork or foundation. However, we can help you look for a concrete or foundation company in your area to speed up the process. Also, we do work with the best concrete contractors in some states. Send us a message to know if we offer concrete in your area!
